Abstract

The study tested the effect of digital technology capabilities on strategic effective decisions with mediating role of the decision support system. Used cross sectional research design where quantitative data was collected from 350 employees using a self-administered questionnaire. The results showed that business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing have significant influence on the strategic effective decisions. Decision support system also significant effect to the strategic effective decisions. Further indirect effect results shown that decision support system partially mediated among business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing and strategic effective decisions. The study with these findings suggested that manufacturing should proper improve their strategic decisions quality through properly adopting an effective digital ecosystem where business intelligence enables data interpretation, artificial intelligence provides predictive intelligence. On the other hand, cloud computing increases the real time accessibility and then DSS helps to consolidate these effects in improving structured decision-making process which increase the company’s competitive advantage.
